Chris Gronning has built his career on skill, precision, and a deep passion for excavation. Growing up in Coquitlam, BC, with four younger siblings, he entered the trades right after high school, working for large underground utility and site services companies. Over the years, he gained hands-on experience in all aspects of excavation, eventually becoming a full-time heavy equipment operator specializing in new home construction across Vancouver.
In 2020, Chris and his partner, Adeline Martin, moved to Balfour in search of a quieter, more connected way of life for their family. They embraced the Kootenays, raising their twins, Colton and Francesca, while enjoying the outdoors, motorsports, and local events. By 2022, Chris turned his years of experience into TerraCraft Construction Ltd., bringing quality excavation services to the region.
From building rock walls in Balfour, Procter, and Nelson to donating time and equipment to his children’s school, Chris takes pride in every project. He approaches each job as if it were his own, ensuring precision, efficiency, and lasting results. With TerraCraft growing, his vision remains clear—to provide reliable, high-quality excavation services while building lasting relationships in the community.
